Panasonic
A Brief History
Panasonic was founded in 1918 in Osaka, Japan by Konosuke Matsushita. Originally it started with just three people and to this day has exceeded to over 290,000 people worldwide.
The name Panasonic came about from selling radios, and put together the words Pan meaning all, and sonic for sound, so Panasonic simply means all sound. When you think of the modern terms such as surround sound the name is more that suitable.
The standard of Panasonic products are still firmly grounded in the philosophy of company founder Konosuke Matsushita. He started teh ball rolling by by inventing a two-socket light bulb in 1918. Konosuke Matsushita's breakthrough led to what is now one of the world's largest and well known electronics companies. As he built Matsushita Electric Industrial Co.Ltd.
Like Konosuke Matsushita, Panasonic have never lost sight of the importance of putting the needs of the customer and the public first. Panasonic operations all over the world are guided by certain key objectives.
"Recognizing our responsibilities as industrialists, we will devote ourselves to the progress and development of society and the well-being of people through our business activities, thereby enhancing the quality of life throughout the world."
Quite a statement I think you'll agree, and one Panasonic is doing justice and credit to..
